Haematoma
Andy somehow sustained a haematoma that appeared on the 27/5/23.
We gave it a week or so to see if it would improve on its own but as there was no change we chose to speak to the vet and also then commence Andy on some INDIBA treatment.
The first picture (far left) was from 2/6/23
The second picture was straight away post treatment 2/6/23
The third picture was post his second treatment 4/6/23
And the last picture (far right) was from today 5/6/23
Andy only had 2 treatments with INDIBA and as you can see there has been a large reduction in the swelling.
Splint (Exostosis of the Medial Metacarpal)
This patient had a splint flare up on his medial left forelimb on 14/7/23. I first saw him on the 9/8/23 due to him becoming lame again despite resting, cold hosing and a topical steroid gel.
We treated 4 times with INDIBA (radiofrequency) weekly and he had become completely sound by his third session, so much so that we could gradually start to introduce some in hand work into his routine. After follow up today (3 weeks after his last treatment) he is still sound, and it has even reduced in size on appearance too compared to the first session which is a great bonus! One final treatment was completed to help facilitate his return to work, and the owner is planning on getting back onboard next week with no further Physiotherapy input needed at present!
Thank you to the owner for allowing me to post the below pictures.
